PLEASE HELP: Infected Toe :(

Help!! I was doing a bumblefoot check on everyone today and noticed Sweet Pea's toe looking really bad. We know she broke off her toe nail recently, and it looked fine at the time, but now it is pretty severely swollen. Does anyone have any home remedies or treatment to help her out or is it vet time? The first picture attached is her regular toe and the other is her swollen one. Thanks in advance friends

Not yet, someone else recommended that too so that's what we're going to try. So far we've applied tea tree oil on a cotton ball and neosporin.

Ok from what I've heard make sure that you don't use the neosporin that has pain reliever in it. Start doing the soaks daily, it will help with drawling the infection out. Don't let the duck drink them epsom salt water, it works like a laxative for them. Keep us posted

Oh we know, we make sure it's the original ointment neosporin not the pain reliever neosporin. Thanks for your advice, I'll post updates.

If you can, I would get help from a vet. It could be infection moving up into the foot, possibly affecting the bone (worst case). I would also start adding a little oregano to the feed. Maybe a quarter teaspoon per cup of feed (not sure of exact amounts).

If infection is in Bone a Vet needs to be seen ASAP....The Bird will not heal and can become septic or the Bone deteriorate...

Update: we took her to the vet today, turned out just to be inflammation fortunately! She was prescribed something to help it, she'll be fine by the end of the week. Thank you guys for your feedback
