well, i bought a belgian from my local petstore, and i'm not too sure if it's a boy or a girl. she was in the cage with another from the same clutch, and the other one had a larger comb, so i assumed it was a girl, but now i'm skeptical. i've been looking at several pictures of belgian hens, and i've noticed that some colours have larger combs than other colours, am i correct in thinking this? it's a month old, i think. any help would be very much appreciated, and wether or not it's a girl will depend on wether or not i sell her at the next poultry auction. thanks, and any and all help appreciated!!

EDIT: well, that's a bugger... well, i'll try again, i guess. i got more pictues, but i'm unsure of the age so i put it next to a tissue box as a size comparison. she's probably over a month, but i'm not too sure about how big they are at full size...

It is very hard to tell, so better pictures would be nice. I can tell you that he/she is more than a month old. At a month old, it would still have baby fuzz and not all it's feathers. That being said, it is very possible it is a girl, but we need clearer pictures.

Yeah the pics are a little dark and fuzzy. More pics would be nice.

I'm not experianced with the breed, but just from the pics and around 1month (maybe....looks a little older closer to 3months to me.

With the new pics, definitely a boy. And, he is much more than a month old. More like 3 or 4 months.
