Hello.
I have a 4-week old duckling, who has one-centimeter inch inflammation under the bill, where the bill joins the neck.
The inflamed area has no color change. I relate events to a plant he ate and spat out with white bubbles on the mouth.
He's eating well and he's behaving normally.
What can I give him to help him?
Could the inflammation be related to something else?
It is the first time I'm raising a Muscovy
Thanks in advance

Could you post a picture of the inflammation?
Please find images attached of the inflamed area and the weed, latex base that we think he ate and spat.
Thank you

The plant in the photo is of the nightshade family which is poisonous to most animals.
I suspect you would have already seen the climax of the symptoms by now, but it would not hurt to give the duckling some activated charcoal to help prevent/combat absorption of the nightshade toxins ( solanine) into the body.
If you see any other concerning symptoms it would be best to see a veterinarian experienced with birds.
Let us know how the duckling does.
