please help is this hen BROODY

hi i have a rhode island red she has been in the laying box all day and at one point she was tucking her head in her wing and one time i just went in to the coop she got mad and then when i was leaving my rooster attacked me that was one time today when i go and touch her she gets mad is she broody

She could be. But if you are having the bitter cold weather like we are she may just be trying to stay warm. Your rooster may be upset about the cold weather too.

where we are its 40 here and it fills like 35 but she gets upset when i go around her would the cold do that

I would say it's likely that she is broody. They with fluff up their feathers and growl. All they want is to be left alone when brooding.

Ok thanks I guess she is not broody because she is off the nest and there was a egg thanks so much for taking the time to help me
