How long has it been externally pipped? What is your humidity at? What breed? We need more info. Yes, it looks dry. Up your humidity.

68-70% all trays are full of water. Cayuga and Ancona. I saw the pip yesterday around 7pm. He has poked his beak out 2 times since I have been watching. He could have been pipped longer. His buddy in the incubator is knocking eggs all over so we just saw it. We have 5 lips going right now. Do I really dare open the incubator? Won’t it kill them and cause more to dry out?

Ok, not time to assist yet. It won't kill them. I'm not saying to do this, but I open the incubator the most during incubation during the hatch. I have never had a shrink-wrapped bird from this. It won't kill them. You need to up the humidity more. Is your humidity gauge salt tested for accuracy? If not, it's probably wrong.

I was waiting until this morning to assist. One must have passed away last night . It was chirping when I went to bed . I helped the other one out this morning and so far that one is good. I have another one one watch. We bought a new thermometer yesterday and our humidity is 85%

Aw, I'm sorry. It might have just been a weak one and quit. It is sad when they make it so close though. I'm glad your assisted one is doing good. Your humidity sounds good now.
