Please help, it’s urgent

12-16 weeks for saddles and hackles.....crowing can happen anytime.
True, I've had cockerels crow earlier than 10 weeks. So, scratch the 10-12 week suggestion. Listen for crows, watch combs and wattles, eventually look for hackle and saddle feathers. Or, post pics on BYC, ask others, and get 20 different answers (even if pullet or cockerel are your only options). ;)

I’m sorry you followed such harmful advice...we all live and learn. If it were my chick I’d make a donut out of a towel. Make like a little nest or circle. Place the chick on the middle so it’s head can be supported. It looks uncomfortable laying face down. Remove it from the others and keep it warm. Chickens are resilient. Let it rest. Place water close to its head (raise it up on a upside down dish) so that it can easily reach it. If it were me I’d go back to that web site and post the truth!! Best wishes

:( I hope your baby pulls through, the others have made wonderful suggestions on caring for it, I would do the towel in a circle to offer it support for it's little head, I bought all pullets when I first got chickens, even then it's not a 100% guarantee that you will get all hens, I've since hatched my own and dug around the internet looking for ways to tell beyond waiting for them to crow or lay, I watched a couple of videos that people had made that showed using the wing method, I've been told it doesn't work for all breeds (mine are mutts) but it's the long short, long short for hens and the straight across for the feathers on the roo's. Done within the first week of life.

It’s been drinking water but I don’t think it will pull through if it does pull through the night though I will take it to a vet first thing in the morning and see what they say, for now I don’t have any vitamins just sugar and water, might add some Gatorade

Honestly, I wouldn't mess with a vet. The office call alone will be very expensive. It's also hard to find a vet that will even look at a chicken. I think you're doing the best you can for it right now. Make sure it has a source of heat to keep it warm, but not too hot. Keep water and feed available. Keep it comfortable. If you can get ahold of some vitamins or electrolytes tomorrow, then do so. If not, just keep doing what you're doing.

Gatorade is not a bad idea. The electrolytes are a good thing to add. Have you got some Chick Saver or even some Pedialyte? Either one of those, added to the water, should help, as well. As long as your baby is warm and drinking, there's hope. As fragile as they are, they often surprise us with their resilience!

It's not your fault it's the websites fault it told you the wrong thing. If you would like a better way to tell the chicks genders then you can use this method though it's not 100 percent. You flip them on their backs in your hand then wait for them to stop kicking their legs. A pullet will hold it's legs inward a young rooster will hold it's legs outward.

Aart asked before I could, how is the baby doing this morning? hoping she's had a good night and is doing better this morning.

although it’s eating and drinking some water it looks almost dead, I’ve tried reviving her through so many methods but no luck,
it just doesn’t stand anymore it will fall and it’s barely moving, I wrapped a towel around it for the head to rest, I also looked into vets but none specialize in poultry in my area, I feel like total crap for following a stupid method and hurting one of my favourite chicks, but when I held it in my hands it continuously vibrates, could this be mereks? I had about 14 chicks, 13 are doing well and growing really fast, eating and drinking this morning but this one isn’t, is there anything I could do, I would hate to put it down just in case it’s somehow revives itself
