Please help!. Loosing chickens. Lethargic, sleepy, then death. 1 sick

Thank you so much for checking in! She is up and ate her breakfast of probiotic yogurt and chick starter. I thought I'ld try to put her back on chick starter since it's medicated. Last night she could stand but laid right back down when I stood her up. Today she is still very lethargic but she made it through the night and for that I'm very thankful. The only antibiotic she is on now is tertracycline, which is added to her water alone with electrolytes and vitamins.

I've arranged to work at home all but 2 hours today so I can keep an eye on her. She has a heat lamp and I'm observing her behavior and her poo. Her poo seemed less watery today but its hard to tell. Again, thanks so much for checking in. If anyone has any other advice it would be greatly appreciated.

GSE = grapefruit seed extract, available as a liquid or pill. Some folks use it as a home remedy for human use. I've never heard of using it for chickens.

ETA: but then there are a lot of things I've never heard about!

My little sweetie is still hanging on. She actually seemed better later in the day today. She was walking around, still lethargic, but not like yesterday when she would lay down as soon as I stood her up. She even made some normal clucking sounds, which she hasn't done in a few days. I should get the Corrid in the mail tomorrow and will give it to her then. I'm wondering if it isn't Coccidiosis, though. There isn't blood in her poo and it was less watery today. She's getting somewhat better. Maybe the wormer helped. Regardless, I'm going to treat them all for Coccidiosis when the Corrid arrives.

I spent the whole afternoon watching her. She's holding on. I have a lot more hope today than I did yesterday. I'll post more later. Thank you all! Your advice and support really mean a lot!!

I'm glad they are holding on... better if they were 100% though, huh?

Cocci doesn't always put blood in their poo. And you will be wise to give it to them anyways when it comes in.... keep it handy... Cocci will always be there... it's in the dirt and if a chicken gets it... everything they poo on will spread it (and we all know that is alot! lol)

Good luck... keep us posted.

Thanks again for your help! This is a good morning!! Everyone was wormed 4 days ago and they have been on corrid for about 36 hours. The girl that was acting lethargic seems to be better now!! For a couple of days she was "depressed," kept to herself, and laid down more than standing. Now she's perky and running around. Last night she slept on a high roost with the others instead of on the floor of the coop like she had been doing. (With a heat lamp I provided of course.) This morning her poo was normal and she squawked and ran around when I tried to pick her up, which is her usual response before she knows its me (she a Polish chicken and can't see so startles easily). So, I think she's getting better!! I don't know if it was worms or cocci, but it appears to be one of them!! Thank you all so much! I now have a supply of medications and am armed the next chicken emergency much better!!
