Please help....Male or Female Silkie?

Am very new on here and am completely at my wits end. I am concerned over the sex of my little boys silkie whom he has adored for the last 12 weeks....Cookie is 18 weeks roughly now. We are unable to keep Roo's at our house, therefore will need to return a male for a female swap and gain another chicken......Little one is devastated as our very untrained eyes think we spot streamer feathers.

We have no eggs yet, but after a bizarre noise this morning, we think it was an attempted crow. If more pictures are needed, please just yell.....have contacted the breeder all day long, but to no avail, and the tears from my son are hard to watch

Also, please excuse their current living conditions, we moved their house over the weekend and the wood chips don't arrive until tomorrow. They are out most of the day eating all of my strawberries and grass

As a mom I feel your pain! Hopefully you can kind of returning on the sly maybe get one that looks exactly like him? Truly sorry for your little boy.

I have just chatted to the breeder, and it struck me that my little one will know instantly as they have such a lovely bond, he is always carrying Cookie or feeding him/her, chatting etc....they are such buddies

If I could swap and he not know, I would in a heart beat, and try and explain the new playmate would be tricky though!

I'm so sorry. My sons have have experienced the disappointment of favourites turning out to be boys as well and it's tough!
