My husband bought these chicks but I am not sure what breed they are. There are 4 black ones and their feathers have a green and purple sheen to them. There are also 2 that may be Barred Rocks?

Solid blacks are black sex link hens or black australorps.

Barred birds are barred rocks.

Yes the pure blacks are either australorps or black sex-links and the other are barred rocks.

Barred birds are either hatchery-quality Barred Rocks or Barred Rock mixes, since their coloring should be more distinct. The pure black ones are probably Black Australorps. They're probably not Black Sex-Links, since BSLs have reddish coloring on their neck and breast.

My BSL's didn't get the red on the neck with the first set of feathers.
