I may be trading a roo for this girl. The person who sold me the roo (supposed to be a hen) is offering to take roo and give me red. I have ability to get a speckled sussex or BCM but the guy lives a long way and I have to take all and rehome his others plus he lives an hour away and can only meet right around rush hour charlotte.....so, that is a bunch of work and part of me says just get the pretty red girl. I also can trade the roo with a friend who has a 14week old blue wheaten americauna. Please help me decide :-/ Please let me know what she is...thanks!

Yes, I actually have a red americauna and she is a sweetheart. At the same time I got a blue wheaten (or maybe blue) but he turned out to be a BIG rooster...actually from the guy above...my wife is not ready for another young one who fly's as we had a murder scene with one young one...so, I'm thinking about getting the 6mo old red sex link/red star...to go with the EE and BSL.

I'd take the red hen and save yourself some headache and her from those roosters, poor girl! Missing so many feathers.

He actually found a 5 month old SLW that I am interested in...meeting him at a chicken swap on Fri so there may be something else....I would go with the Americauana but I don't want another rooster (would be 3rd) and keep in mind I only have 3 chickens...bet they have something interesting at the swap..if not the SLW wyandotte may be a good choice. Pretty, lay well and a sort of interesting looking...etc. Hopefully they have some cool choices at the swap.

Blue Wheaten is a recognized color, so it's probably pure
