Please, help me identify my chicken!

Barred Rock?? She was supposed to be a Dominique. I definitely need to find a new hatchery. Luckily, these chickens are my spoiled backyard "pets" and not for show or breeding, but not getting what I paid for or requested is not cool!
not an expert on the barring..I'll let someone else handle that one, but you will really enjoy you Easter egger girls. They will most likely lay the egg to the far left and right of my avatar.

Yeah, dominiques have peacombs {Rose combs}, barred rocks have straight combs. And then there's the "Ameracauna" situation...

I'm not too happy with Ideal either--nothing like getting two small, white ducks (They're smaller than my Swedish) instead of two pekin drakes. And I was intending to use whichever was larger for breeding. Goodbye, that.

EDT: Sorry, I tend to classify smaller, flatter combs as peacombs, no matter their actual shape. And when I'm not thinking about it, I write out my internal terminology.

Also don't feed them layer till they lay... if at all.
Thanks for the advice! They are still eating the flock raiser crumbles with treats of scratch grains, meal worms and black soldier fly larva. I have two Cochins that are a few weeks older and have begun laying, so I have crushed oyster shells for them in their run that they can eat free-choice. Am I on the right path?

Yes you are! Most folks on BYC don't use layer feed, ever, and many even downright dislike it. It's sort of useless for flocks with a rooster or mixed age birds. 18-20% maintenance or all-flock feed is the best with a side of oystershell, because layers still get nutrients, but non-laying birds aren't delayed/harmed.

Welp, you got em...about 20 to 24 weeks depending on daylight and well...their mood..lol. They will start to redden up and you will know they are close. If you put your hand on their back gently and they begin to squat for you that's another sign as well.
Good to know! I wish I had joined this forum sooner. It has been so helpful and fun.

Sounds like you got it covered. You have done your home work..just don't exceed 10% treats and all is good.
