he wants to keep EVERYTHING he finds.
Super hard to convince him otherwise when we found a bunch of tortoises living in the back yard.

I have just always loved bugs and animals. When I was little my mom and dad used to find me playing with bees in the back yard. They said I would have them cupped in my hands.
One of the sweetest things my hubby has ever done was surprise me with a tomato horn worm from the garden!

Maybe that's why kids and I get along so well!!! We save the Earthworms from the puddles and red ants too!

That is ONE LUCKY BUG! My daughter would have freaked out until her 'heroic Daddy' smashed it. I can't believe you took a bug home!

I checked on him first thing this morning, my son named him Johnny Adam....LOL. He really is an interesting bug!

We do collect frogs too! The only thing I can't do is like maggots and little yucky things like that!

I use to do the same thing... not anymore.. I have a girlfriend that screams at the site of an eight legged anything.... I just laugh and throw the bug outside or down the toilet.

When I was a kid I brought a baby garter snake in the house.... built a house for it out of legos.... Well turns out I didn't do a very good job as it got into the laundry and scared the crap out of my mom... She screamed......Jeffrey!!!

And this was me upstairs....

I also 'love' bugs!

They are incredible -- I have a plastic cup and a card to slide under it when I have cornered a bug -- it's easy to get it to take outside --

We have those huge wolf spiders here and my husband hates them -- so I have to take them out --

There is a tiny brown field-mouse living in our garage -- I have gotten a 'hav-a-heart' trap but hate to put him out in the snow --

It's nice to hear from another lover of 'critters' that other people don't like!

Thank you for sharing your special bug-buddy!
Hope that Johnny-Adam hangs around for you to enjoy -- :)
