Please help me ! My new ducks have red marks around their necks

Or you could just use a bowl for the feed that they dont need to stick their head into holes. I use bowls - dog bowls, cat bowls, plastic bowls... water bowl is the only one that needs adjusted as they grow.
As someone else said they are more then likely getting their heads stuck j in the holes and scraping as they pull out. And can possibly get an infection from not being able to heal cause they keep doing it.

So I did originally have a bowl for there food but they always laid in it and pooped in it so I thought I feeder with small holes would be better

I found my tiny welsh ducklings looked to be having trouble getting their food out of the little holes so I made this.....

I cut holes in 3 sides and can lay it on the back or have it upright. It seems to have helped.

How many do you have? You can adjust the food bowl as they grow too. I have so many oh speedy/fancy are to big for these bowls now for both water and food. And they're babies... they just plop down wherever they get tired. :) as they get older they won't do that in the food bowl so much as the water bowl... my girls still try to go swimming occasionally in the huge yellow bowl I put out for water once in awhile.
