I name mine after cericteristics and personalities. My 7 chicken laying flock has my 3 cuckoo marans. Ecapee, Ecapee amego and nibbles (she sereisly tries to bite me if my hands in rang!). My red ranger hens Moon(she's the lightest), Sunny(she's not the lightest and not the darkest) and Ranger. And my red ranger rooster Prewitt( named after a children's book. He lost all his tell feathers when he was yong but they grew back).
