I have 2 chicks that seemed to have spraddle legs. I had the brooder divided to keep these 2 safe from the others. Well one with spraddle leg did so well that she jumped the 4 inch baracade, bandaid brace and all and introduced herself and blended right in with the others. I thought she was missing.

Anyways, the other one is not doing very well and several times I almost culled her.
In addition to spraddle leg, her toes were all messed up so I made little soles out of duct tape, that does seem to help. She also seems to have a swollen abdomen. No pasty butt. And sometimes she shakes.
The biggest problem is her energy though. She closes her eyes almost all the time, sleeps almost all of the time and will not eat and drink on her own yet. (she is 2.5 days old) Yes, I think it is possible she is still on her yoke nutrition but today I have been very diligent at making her drink water enriched with starter. I also gave some yogurt. Just in the last few minutes I noticed she is making more effort to stand and when I entered the room her eyes were open.
Is there anything else I can do? (pretty far from a store, if there is something I should buy, I would not be able to until tomorrow. )

I am sorry to hear about your chick! I have one that has the same problem. We decided to have it euthanised and my husband is on his way to take it to the vet now. Ours is 2 days old. I just couldn't stand to watch it suffer any longer. It couldn't walk, stand etc...It has straddle legs so we did the bandaid thing around the legs. I can't cull it myself and neither can my husband. I know most people do, but I don't have it in me. First time hatch, first time chickens for me.

I wish you the best of luck with your chick and what ever you decide to do. I personally was crying like a baby this morning because he just seemed to be worse and really peeping loud etc...couldn't let him suffer any longer. Sorry I am not much help.

Oh, my husband does not mind culling it. I would even, if I had to. But it is just she does not seem in pain. She is not peeping. Was yours all by itself? Mine has a little friend.... another chick that was born a day late, I am giving that one a day to get strong.
Did yours seem to be bloated?
Don't be sad about your little chicky! You gave it a shot! Most of the time, all chicks don't make it. Law of the jungle I guess. I mean lets face it.... they go from a fertilized egg into a walking, breathing, pooping chirping warm blooded animal in just 21 days! It is truly amazing that so many do survive!

Mine was peeping really loud last night and it's legs ended up being straight out in front of it as if to be sitting like a human and it couldn't straightened them out. It seemed in pain to me. Poor little guy wanted to walk and peck like a little chicky should be able to do.

No, it didn't seem to be bloated at all. I know many people can cull a chick/chicken but I doubt I ever could. It's just not in me to do it.

I will let the vet take care of it.

Mine was all alone because all of the other chicks would peck it and trample it since it just laid there and couldn't get up and walk.

I hope yours gets better.

The first thing you all need to do if you havent already is try to give them baby liquid vitimins like polyvisol and with the dropper just put it in the tip of beak and some electrolytes to rehydrate hope this helps

I don't really have anything helpful to suggest to you but wanted to tell you that I am hoping that your chickie gets better!!
