I live in the suburbs, with a wash running behind my house. We have a fence between the house and the wash, probably 8 ft tall, covered by vines making it another 2-3 ft taller. We covered the entire backyard with bird netting, thinking a hawk was taking our girls, but now another was taken this morning, with only feathers left. There is a small opening in the netting, right by the vine covered fence, too small for a hawk to swoop through. Could it be a coyote climbing the fence? If so, how can I stop it? Thank you in advance!

Sorry for your losses. You might want to consider a trail / game motion activated camera. I have several of them around my farm and mounted to the coop so I can see what is coming by for a visit so I can better defend the chickens against predators. Once you know what you are up against, it is much easier to defend against a known threat.
