Please help me!!!!! (sad update on omelet)

Did her mate die of anything infectious?

I wound get some electrolytes into her water asap, and stay with her. Be sure she is cool and if you have to get fluid and a wet slurry of feed into her in by dropper, then do it.

If it proves difficult remember that hens have a sipping reflex and that by dropping fluid carefully on the curve of her beak, avoiding the nares, she will probably sip reflexively. You are right, she is in deep trouble and needs immediate intervention.

Her mate (Thunder) died of fowl pox. Some of our other hens had it but it went away Thunder was the only one that died.

Most of them seem to drink it no problem - mixing it with a little vanilla yogurt is something they can't pass up - it is pretty bland by itself. Or maybe with a little crushed up watermelon? Gatorade? Are her symptoms the same as when the others had fowl pox?

Yes but I don't see anything wrong on her skin. I used vanilla flavored yogurt with a little bit of layena and chick starter and peadialyte and I mixed it in the yogurt but she won't eat it.

Did you try putting it on her beak? You might have to try and open it a little with your finger so it gets in. On one hand you want her to stay strong but on the other you don't want to stress her out. You could try in maybe 20 minutes? Good luck. You might also try calling a vet clinic/extension agent before 5 and give them her history and see what they think.

Omelet is finally doing better. She is standing on her own and I let her out for a little bit before it got dark and she was eating the grass and walking around but she still does look sick. I am keeping her seperate from the others until for a couple days and when she starts getting to be more active then she has been. But I am happy she is doing better. She is my little baby girl.
