Please help me with my home made incubator!

I'd raise the temp just a hair. Stay between 98 - 102 if you can. The less of a flux in temp the better. The closer to 99.5 the better. Keep in mind the temp is gonna change again after you add the eggs. Mind went down and then up. It took me a good 24 hours to stabilize the temp again once I added the eggs. thermometer at same height as eggs was needed in mine. also i have to plug holes for frosty nights and open holes when cooking dinner.

I have the thermo/hygrometer at the same hight that the eggs will be,

. I've been attempting to keep the humidity at about 40, but it's been lingering at 39, and I'll add a tiny bit more water to try to get it up... I'm looking to add coturnix quail eggs when I can be stable for a little while.

my firt hatch attampt, and it's with my first attempt with quail... I'm insane I tell you!

but I caught the bug! I really appreciate the help though!

Ok, so now I'm at 98.8-102.... YAY! (I think...) I added an extra hole, across the way from the fan, and it seems to have made a difference, plus, I plugged one of the holes in the top of the lid... however, my humidity won't stay up so I'll have to add a bigger pan...

Here's my fear... now that i have it stable, once I start turning eggs tree times a day, won't that mess up my temp and humidity?

Adding a bigger fan might make the humidity go down. I have to add water every morning to keep the humidity up. The eggs are absorbing the humidity too so it's to be expected. I have a tube running from the outside of the bator and the other end is in a dish inside. I can add water without opening the bator.
