Please help me. She was grabbed by a weisel and it tried to grab her by her throat and pull her through the bars.
My 17 year old son stopped it and got her inside with us and I have her in a warm , quiet space .. but even though she wants to eat and drink ..it's like it makes her choke and she spits it out and spazzes and flips her whole body...im assuming she feels like she is choking by her mannerism
.. does anyone think if the swelling goes, she maybe able to swallow ok...or get better as time passes? I don't want her to suffer either 😔 😪

Okay so what i can see i don't see a wound near the throat area or under her beak, just swollen bad..her only bite mark is on the side of her head ...and it bled a tiny bit.im so scared the trauma of ramming her into a cage by her neck did damage. :(

Here's what I'm looking at for organ reference, depending on where the bite was there's a chance it did some brain damage, if not I'm sure its traumatized regardless.
I'm unsure how to get the swelling down, are you able to look inside of its throat to see if its swollen shut? Don't push it if she doesn't want to open up.
*It is probably also causing her pain to try and swallow, may be why she's acting that way

So here are some upload pics of her face and neck ..both sides

Is vet care an option?

Her throat may be swollen badly and she's unable to swallow.

I'd try offering her sips of sugar water if possible.

For wounds, clean them with Chlorhexidine or saline, then apply triple antibiotic ointment.

Hard to know how much damage was done with the pulling of the head, it may take a few days to tell.

If you're able to soften up her food it may go down a little easier, you may have to hand feed her if she can't swallow herself.
I just mix their feed with warm water until it turns oat-mealy, takes about 5 minutes to soak up. I would probably add in some electrolytes or vitamins as well.
