hi there i have a family of bantams living in my garden in a shed at the bottom of my garden i have a mixture of different colours. i let my hens nest in a fruit box with hay the perfect size for one hen well i had one hen go broody on the nest one week later another and a week after that another one jumped on to so i have three hens all in one fruit box very cramped i have moved the box in to a indoor rabbit cage so the other hens and cockerals dont attack or stress the babys now i have 13 eggs hatch but one of the mums is very aggressive towards some of the chicks but not the others what should i do because i dont know who the mum is to the hens as there all the other hens eggs aswell
please help
thanks in advance

Put everyone in a bigger space. I raise rabbits and the cages are not very big. That way the hens can pick their own chicks and everyone can be happy. If a chick becomes motherless, you'll be aware and can raise it under a heat lamp.

thank you very much but there not spreading out i tryed to seperate the eggs in to individual boxes when they were sitting but they just gaver the eggs together do i need to lock the in seperate pens do you thing
also how many chicks do you think that a pekin bantam can cope with please

Separate the brooding hens like you planned and give them an even amount of eggs. They can't count (I hope) and everyone should be happy. Should be . . . The hen will move the eggs around beneath her so they all stay warm. Just keep an eye on all of them to make sure they continue brooding.
