My baby chicks have been pooping blood for more than a week. I thought it was coccidiosis and treated them with Sulphadiazine and Trimethoprim Bolus as told by the store guy. I used the medicine for 5 days. But still there is blood in their poop. I started deworming them yesterday. Still no result. What should I do?

I would try corrid. How are they today?

I live in a city so the vets here don't treat chickens. Also amprolium or any other of its products are not available here so I had to opt for sulpha drugs. My baby chicks are 8 weeks old. I am raising them as pets. Today as of now the blood in poop has reduced a bit. But the poop has mucus in it. I am going to watch over them tomorrow too. Forgot to mention one thing one of chick eats hair. I don't know if that can cause blood in poop.

I do not think hair is the culprit. I think it is Coccidia. are they lathargic?
No they are very active. Yesterday the blood in the poop was consistent and the day before that it was occasional. They show no symptoms of coccidiosis except for the blood in poop. Today after treating them with Albendazole the blood in poop has considerably reduced. But the poop still has white mucus.
