Please help....my flock is getting sick - URGENT! Added PICS!

Thank you chickadee101. I will increase the dosage to 1cc today. All chickens showing symptoms have been separated from the rest of the flock. I read about coryza but the chickens don't smell bad....they are lethargic, decreased appetite and thirst, eyes swollen and rattle when they breathe....

So I increased the tylan50 dosage to 1cc....I made a couple photos to show their eyes....thought it might help. Thanks.

I forgot to mention that I have 4 small coturnix quail (recent addition) that are in a separate pen from the chickens....not sure if this might have any relevance to my sick chickens....trying to cover all my bases to find out what is wrong. Thanks.

It is a respiratory infection. So, keep on with the Tylan for at least 10 days...even if their symptoms clear up. CRD is the issue at hand here. After seeing those eyes that has to be the problem.

I appreciate your help. What is your advice, would you cull the birds or put them back in the flock?

I would give the meds and see if they get better. If they don't then cull... If they do then good

Yellowish poop may mean that they also have a coccidiosis or a bacterial infection.

Please note that I don't know what is wrong and am just trying to help. I hope this helps. The only way to tell for sure I think, is necropsy (contact your state veterinarian or county extension agent).

Jeez, maybe it's better to cull and wait out the time and start over? But who's to say the next birds won't catch it from somewhere...? Ava then you'll be in the same boat again...Rick and a hard place.,. First step would be to pay to have the tests done so you actually know what the issue was. I have looked at a lot of pics of chicken diseases, but not what a lot of the diseases do, or are.

Thank you Missnu01, casportpony, and chickensaresweet! I have sent an email to my local extension office, hopefully they will get back with me soon. I really want to confirm what this is so it can be dealt with properly. I do have about a dozen little chicks in a separate area...none of them have any problems. I'm scared they will start dying.
