They were born 6 days ago. All of them were fine but the littlest one that was the last to hatch. His egg got moved all over the bator. I finaly (12 hours later) wanted to move the egg from the others and the chick came out. I took all the others out because they were pecking him. His problems are; curled toes, and couldn't Balance or walk. I've been reading for days on what to do. So far I put non-stick animal medical tape on for splay legs and bandaids on toes for the curled toes. I have been feeding him crunched up chick food with a very small bit of watered down plain 2% yogart. If I hold him up he will peck and eat the crunched up food but he can't be getting much. I also give him the sugar water I read about. I put him in a sock (which I also read about) @ night since he is not by his siblings. I have a thermometer in his box that reads about 95-98 depending. I get up all night long when I here him to feed him (reminds me of when my 3 children were born!) Lol.. He is pooping and peeing a lot which makes me happy! :)
........Is there anything I can feed him to bulk him up? He is strong and stands on his tippy toes (because of the chick boot bandaids)
........How many days is to many days to try and help him along? I realy don't want to hear that I should put him down but am I causing more harm than good? I already love this little guy from spending so much time with him. Any help would make my day! :)

Thanks Kevin...how do I find that? I am posting from a smart phone that is super slow...thanks for the info..I am new @ this site :)

I've already moved the thread for you.

I don't raise pheasants, but curled toes in chicks is easily fixed while they are young. When they grow up, it cannot be corrected. You are doing the right thing. You may want to tape the toes to a piece of cardboard. Tape them the way they should be.

Here is a link on leg problems:

It sounds as though it's thriving, so I would give it the chance. If it takes a turn for the worse, you'll know when it's time.

Thank you for moving post. Will he eventually get his balance and be able to walk? He pushes up on my hand or whatever I have his feet on. He's got a lot of energy but I tire him out with all my so called doctor bandages and excersizing his legs.
