PLEASE HELP! NEED ADVICE! PLEASE!

I am so sad to say that one out of my two khaki Campbell eggs died in shell. I could not see movement, so I opened it up. The poor thing was barely moving and within the hour, it was gone.
But, on to my real problem...

The second egg seems to still be healthy. The duckling is moving around a lot, and when held up to my ear, I can hear him peeping and pecking or scratching. I candled him, and he is moving but I am not 100% sure if he has internally pipped yet. I can see what looks like a beak moving around in the air sac, and I could also see him open his mouth, but almost looks like the membrane is stretched around it.

Has he internally pipped yet? When should I make a safety hole? Will making a safety hole Jeprodize his life?

Thank you please get back ASAP I’m just really anxious as this is my first time hatching ducks, and I’m really sad about losing the first baby.

If you can hear peeping, it’s highly likely that it has internally pipped. It could be another 24 hours before external pip, and 40+ hours before zip. Be patient.

I’ve been hearing peeps for the last 2 days now. It looks like the duckling has came down and broken into the air sac, as one side is filled with the duckling. Or so it looks

No pic posted, @NewDuckGuy72 . Thanks for replying WVduckchick. I bet your incubator temp was on the low side. Did you have at least one calibrated thermometer in your incubator? Your egg sounds totally normal. Ducks take a very long time. I had one baby internally pip and it was internally pipped for 3 days before externally pipping. I should have assisted probably, but I was not experienced. It hatched just fine. It took 4 days from internal pip to hatch. Don't panic, ducklings know what they're doing. The whole process is incredibly designed and they don't often need help. If you hear peeping then it has internally pipped. It is just learning to breathe in there and absorbing it's yolk, which can take up to 48 hours (and sometimes even longer). If it still hasn't externally pipped by tomorrow morning, you can go ahead and try a safety hole. I think everything sounds fine though. What is the RH?

I would only add that a safety hole won’t hurt at this point, if it makes you feel better. For me, it kinda depends on air cell size. If the air cell is nice and big, I’ll give them longer. If it’s kinda small, I might do a safe hole sooner. Just a tiny hole is all you want to do.

Thanks for the reply! It is now day 30 and we have heard peeps since day 27. The temperature is around 99 but fluctuates a little here and there.
I tried posting a picture but it wouldn’t go through. I will try again.

There is still no progress this morning. Should I go ahead and make a hole?

Good morning! If you want to that's totally fine. Just up the humidity a bit in there so it doesn't dry out, and make sure it is a very small hole. It doesn't even have to go all the way through the membrane. I think your egg looks nice and healthy, good job. Once you do a small safety hole, give it another 24 hours.
Edit : I just went back and looked at the pics some more and I don't actually see an internal pip. I just see shadowing, which is before they internally pip. You're seeing the back pushing on the membrane to move around and help loosen it. Here's what internal pips look like (not my photo)
I wouldn't do the safety hole yet, if it hasn't even internally pipped there's no point. I have found that when they start to get low on oxygen they have to externally pip (obviously, lol) which is normal. Whenever I do safety holes they just sit in there forever because they don't need to pip, and I usually have to assist them all the way.
