PLEASE HELP! NEED ADVICE! PLEASE!

I want to thank you all very much for your replies to this thread. I’m writing this with tears running down my cheeks.
Unfortunately, the little guy didn’t make it. I looked this morning and he was no longer peeping or moving. I opened up the egg and found him lifeless. He was definitely ready... the yolk was absorbed and there was absolutely no blood or veins.
I waited way to long. I think if I would have helped him yesterday he would have made it.

So... my two babies are gone.

On a lighter note, I have 5 more eggs about 10 days from hatching. Now I know when it is too late to help' so hopefully I will have a more successful hatch.

Once again, thanks to you all who replied to this..

That is sad the same happened to me with a quail died in the shell no veins or blood it is sad but no matter what holds us back we must move forward Right now just a week later I have a new batch and I have learned from my mistakes and I now have the knowledge from my dead hatch that can be used to make more batches of chicks so in a way your little duckling is still with you in the knowledge that you will always have.

Yes, well said. I definitely learned from this and hopefully will have a successful hatch next round.

Here we go again!
Not sure if anyone will read this, but oh well.

We are on day 25 with the second round of Khaki Campbell eggs. We have a good internal pip on one. 3 others are “shadowing” and should be internally pipped tomorrow. 1 is just barely trying to pip, but is still moving.

By the way it looks, we will have a spaced out hatch, but so far so good. If anyone replies, I will keep you posted.

I’m going to make a safety hole in the pipped egg if he has not externally pipped by noon tomorrow.

Just a note: I’m writing this at 11:57 pm on day 25. So when I say tomorrow, I mean day 26.

Also, we have been in “lockdown” for around 3 days now. We locked down early after we saw early signs of pipping. (Around day 23-24)

Best of luck with your hatch! I just read your whole thread and I’m so sorry about the loss of your eggs! It’s really hard to know when to intervene.
