There's no given time. Mine took a good 12 hours, but it wasn't a full yolk sac.How long will it take for the yolk to be absorbed?

If yours was busted from the egg, I'm assuming there's still a good amount of the yolk sac. Which may take a full day to absorb or better. My concern would be, if it was broken from the egg, how much blood did it loose? And what shape is the "umbilical" cord/attachment in
I do have one more question that I cant seem to find the answer to. How exactly do I 'set' the eggs while waiting for the other hen to lay enough eggs? Do I store them in the refrigerator? If so, should I let them come to room temp before putting them under the broody hen? I just want to make sure i do this correctly. Thank you.
