This little kitchen scales which I use for measuring out burger patties, work well for weighing chickens:

Will look into that, we may already have one, I have a friend down the street that has one.

@TheYLWFlock iIjust read this entire thread and want to give you a huge SHOUT-OUT for taking such good care of your sweet, sweet hen! :celebrate
Your little girl is one lucky chicken to have you! ♥ Bear hugs to you and keep us posted with her daily progress!! :hugs
Thank you so much!

I am crying as I write this. Daisy is not getting better, she is getting worse, she can’t really walk anymore, her feet are curling inwards, when put her down her legs go weak, sometimes one goes out to the front, she has sort of stumble panic attacks and crashes I to things, she’s not eating or drinking much, pooping less than she used to, I just don’t think she is thriving or happy anymore. I don’t know what to do. Do you think that we should euthanize so that she doesn’t have to die in pain?

On no , I am sorry that she is worse. Euthanizing her is really up to you. I know that you don’t want to see her suffer. Will she sleep if your put her down? It seems more like she may have Mareks. Do you want to try and get a necropsy and get her tested for it the disease by the state vet? That is the only way to know for sure. The body has to be refrigerated, but not frozen, and taken or sent in to the state poultry lab as soon as possible. Does she have a chicken sling to place her in for the night? Try to make her as comfortable as possible while you decide what to do.

Yes whenever I put her down she just hobbles a step or two, trips and falls then just drops her head and goes to sleep. We live in Canada and I’m not sure if we have places that do necropsy for you.
I am so sorry.
So very sorry.
Me too.
