Had a duckling that started to pip under a hen and the membrane started to harden around it with just its beak out...we soaked the egg in warm water to soften the skin and DH started peeling it away slowly. The duckling finished hatching last night and this morning the feathers and body was all stiff. We tried giving it a warm bath to soften him/her up a lil bit. Came back home this afternoon and it's still the same. The legs are sprawled out as well. Is there anything we can do for this poor lil baby?!
