Well, we have her home.. and she is doing really well.
Been giving her the medicine, and she will go back next week to have the sutures removed.

I'm so glad this whole ordeal is behind us!
On Sunday we will be driving 1 1/2 hrs in hopes to bring home a few more ducks

We have lost free range chickens that didn't get to the coop by dark. We lost a baby turkey to a red tail hawk because there was no "roof" on the pen. And we had a turkey fly out of the pen during the night and a coyote (we think) took him. Ducks have flown out but I've recaptured and put them back. Sorry about your loss but depending on the age of the children just explain the facts of wildlife to them My granddaughter is 6 and she understands what happened with all of our losses.

P.S. there is a net roof on the turkey and duck pens now.

Yes, they absolutely did! I love them both, and we want a few more so they stay warm together in the winter.. can get really cold here..

We are really really debating over what to get... definitely 2-3 more females..
And we're trying to decide whether or not to get a male.. the idea of babies is both exciting and scary.. I dont know if our enclosure is enough for all of them.. 12ftx6ft?
I have NO CLUE anything about baby duckies.. AH..

So, debating on the male.. we will decide when we go to pick them up I suppose..
