Hello my hen has been acting strange for a few days but today she is really bad she has lost all colour in her face and is being very lethargic only walking a few steps and falling to the ground I don't think she is eating or drinking and she keeps shaking her head she seems fatter than usual and she normally is very lively . She is roughly 4 years old but before this she seemed very healthy still. We lost another member of the flock last week the reason was unknown she had passed overnight please help she is a very loved member of the flock
Thankyou in advanced

This is the poorly hen

What does her crop feel like? It should be empty if she has not been eating, but if it is puffy or hard, she may have a crop problem. She needs to get some poultry vitamins and electrolytes, and try to get her to drink. Tube feeding is an option if you want to do that. Internal laying, egg yolk peritonitis, fatty liver hemorrhagic disease, and worms are some of the possible problems that can affect older hens. How recently was she laying eggs? Once she starts drinking, then you can offer her some chopped egg, tuna, and feed mixed with water and plain yogurt.
