Do you have a county trapper? A lot of times they will come out and solve the problem for you since you're in city limits.

You can get alarms that are motion detectors and can be set to raccoons and a few other varmints. It doesn't bother the chickens. I can barely hear the frequency for possums (as opposed to the setting for deer, which is LOUD). It has worked very well for us and ended our trap and relocate program. We also got a dog again, and that helps, too.

Good idea, but we can't trap or shoot, because we live in the city! Darn raccoons!!!

What about a 22 caliber pellet gun? Makes nowhere near the noise of a "real gun"...

You could Bury a fence in the ground around the coop? Or Big Rocks just a few feet beside the coop fence?

So you apparently live where you can dispose of them on the spot. Doesn’t sound like the OP has that option.

Raccoons are digging under our chicken coop! Yes, raccoons. Darn raccoons!!!! They have been extremely persistent. What are fairly cheap products that you use that are affective raccoon repellents? ANY INFO WILL BE WELCOMED, AND APPRECIATED!!!!!

A deterrent that you can use against raccoons is predator urine. This scent tricks them into thinking that your property is already a territory of another predator.
Different areas have different predators, such as wolves, bobcats, coyotes, or mountain lions. The more familiar a predator is in your area, the more effective it’ll be as a deterrent.
So, do some research on what the common animals are in your area! Figure out the predator prey relationship and be tactful.
