Please help! Sick silkie and seems to be progressing quick! What should I do?

I am not familiar with very many diseases or illnesses because I have been lucky enough to not run into them. Her poo (the little she has produced) doesnt point to that. Would it be smart to dose her with some corrid anyways? I have some on hand as well as worming medicine. Both I have never used.

Ugh she is still doing terrible. I fed her a little bit of egg mixture and washed it down with a little water and she did 2 HUGE sneezes (lifts off the floor even) and all of this came out of her mouth. A TON for how little she is.

Also, I took another video of her when she is relaxed. Maybe that will help rule some things out or narrow it down to what may need to be done for her.....

Yellow matter she sneezed looks like the egg you gave her,but could also be bile or mucus,i feel she has a severe respiratory infection. You mentioned that she has been congested for quite some time,i think it is time to switch to a stronger antibiotic. She appears to be having trouble breathing, keep an eye on her crop this is also a concern. She needs veterinary attention.

Closest vet that takes chickens is 3 hours away. I have begged in the past but no one will see them around here. What do you suggest for a stronger antibiotic? And can I get it without a vet?

She is currently on duramycin

I personally have never used anything but Tetracycline, she probably needs Tylan(Tylosin). PM Casportpony for Tylan dosage information. Listen to her chest, can you hear any wheezing from lungs?

OMG I am going crazy. I have called and I seriously cant find anywhere in a solid hour radius that carries Tylan. How? Why? Ugh... No medicines, no equipment, and no vets in this stupid part of the country.

I havent heard any wheezing when I have tried to listen

Honestly, I dont trust the place I called. I am going to drive an hour to the place and check for myself.

Any antibiotic second in line if they indeed do not have it? Preferably one I can inject since she cant keep anything in her

If no other medications are available, then keep using the Duramycin. Keep her warm, use subdued lighting,if she still show signs of difficulty breathing try a humidifier. I am guessing that whatever she has is bacterial,if it was a virus your other chickens would be ill. Watch her crop,as sour crop has not been ruled out. Have you opened her beak to look for anything unusual?
