Please help so confused!

Late to this thread - but how is your hen doing? Did you ever solve the mystery? I have a 12 week old chick with a swollen toe joint (I think from tripping the other day), and instead of getting better, it's getting worse (but she's fine/healthy otherwise and there's no open wound to have gotten infected).

Also here to see if there are any updates - my hen has the same kind of foot issue with a large bump.
