Please help something is wrong with my hen

My 8 month old Orpington hen has a strange thing in her eye. I just noticed it yesterday and I think that was the first day it was there. Does anybody know what this is, how to treat it or if it is contagious to the rest of my flock? Anything helps! Thank you!

My Olive Egger had something like this at about a 10-15 weeks of age. I don't know exactly what it is, but I'm guessing my girl got picked. All we did was put saline in her eye, and it cleared up in time.

X2 on rinsing with saline.

As long as she has an appetite and is drinking, she should be okay. If she's moving a little slower, consider separating her from the flock in a dog crate in the garage or someplace warm, quiet, and dim.

If you put her back with the flock, I would keep an eye out for any bullying. If you can pick out the chicken causing it, a time out in the above-mentioned dog crate for a few days usually sorts that out.
