Hardly a night when most of the predators roam here that I don't get a predator on at least one of the cameras, usually a coyote. I do have a lot of pictures and some favorite ones.

so sorry for your loss yes raccoons will attack during daylight especially in suburban areas.....we had a couple of attacks that were “unexpected” like that......at first it was the occasional one injured through the fence and then they found a point of entry through roof netting and we had “massacres” we electrified the roof perimeter, installed better netting, and trapped several likely offenders. all has been peaceful for now.
