Please help us find the perfect duck for our fam

You will love your messy little feathered puppies!!!!
I sure do!

Cheers!

I got my ducks mixed up (see how well i retain stuff lol)...it's actually the cayuga ducks we'll be getting :P i hear they are calmer breed.
DH wants to put geese with the ducks, but everything I've read is after the brooder stage, they don't mix well :/

I had two Cayuga girls; we got them in 2015. I can't speak for the whole breed, but they were very friendly. They would quack for me to let them out of their pen when I got home from school, and tap on the glass door for us to come out and give them attention/food. I would lay down on the grass with them and they would nibble at my coat... Plus, they are beautiful! Not pure black, their feather sparkle green and purple in the sun. They loved to swim in their kiddie pool... And poop in said kiddie pool.
I think you'll be happy with whatever you choose, but we loved our Cayuga ducks!

I have my ducklings and goslings in the same brooder currently, and they just nap together and play. Waterfowl normally get along, as geese are sometimes bought to watch ducks, but it will always depend on your goose or duck's personalities.
