Awesome! Thank you so much for the info- I’ll see if I can find it!HI there is a thread somewhere on here where someone will sex them from photos. Have a deeper look. My totally non-profi opinion is a rooster. You can also watch them and look for "dancing", you know how they flare out one wing and dance around the girl to get her attention? Also, watch if they start to fight with each other. They will flare up their neck feathers and have a stare off or even have a run at each other. Good luck.
Both cockerels.
View attachment 1180041 I purchased two BCMaran chicks 10 weeks ago. They weren’t sexed, but as they got older, we suspected by their wing formations that We had one hen and one rooster. Well, said “hen” is beautifully colored like a rooster, while “rooster” has very little (but “he” has begun trying to crow in the mornings). I’ve looked at the standards for marans and I’m guessing mine don’t fit those, but can someone PLEASE tell me if I have two roosters (as I’m beginning to suspect)? Thank you in advance for any help! I’ve included pictures below (I hope) the bottom one being “her”, and the top, “him”. View attachment 1180040Thank you, and everyone else, since I can’t seem to figure out how to reply to all (). I was afraid of that. Ugh... so sad. They’re very sweet. I appreciate the help, everyone!both cockerels, sorry
