Her one eye is swollen shut. I noticed it today. I cleaned it with a warm towel. The crust came off. What can I do?

I don't have firsthand experience with many eye issues, but it sounds like an infection since it's only displaying in one eye.

I've heard that terramycin eye ointment is a very good option for treatment. Continuing to clean it as you already have will help as well.

Moist warm towel - flushing with warm water if you have a syringe (no needle, just the plastic syringe). Chickens have multiple sets of eyelids - the ones closest to their eye move like a sliding glass door while the outer ones move up and down. Once you've got the obvious exterior debris removed, try gently opening the outer eye lid and see if you can see the eyeball and (hopefully) just angry red tissue from debris or a minor injury. If you don't have terramycin, plain Neosporin (no pain relief formulas, just plain) will do.

If there's icky yellow pus tucked behind the eyelids, that's a different conversation.
