Please help- when should I help this guy out? Stuck for 24 hours!

Hi everyone! This is my first hatch. This little guy started hatching around 24 hours ago but after making a hole and getting his big through he hasn’t done anything on his own. I did a lot of research and then I carefully started peeling off part of the shell around him because it had been 24 hours. But then I stopped because I’m not really sure if I’m doing the right thing or if I should just wait longer so I’m hoping you guys can look at these pictures and let me know! I peeled off the portions of the shell- All this little guy has done is make a hole and poke his beak through. He’s just been chirping and stuck there for 24 hours.

Is there any blood? Rub some coconut oil on the shell to make it as through so we can see what's going on. Any yawning/chewing motions? Watch for a few minutes.

Thank you! I ended up assisting it over several hours- it actually appeared to have an injury to its beak tooth! but it seems really healthy so I’m glad I got him outa there!
