Hello! So a few days ago I had a bunch of eggs hatch! Just a few were left unhatched on the 21st day. I decided to let them go until the 23rd day and one egg had a huge hole in it. I was so tempted to help it as it was rocking around and peeping but held back... until the 24th day. I carefully was able to get the chick out without injuring it ! However I soon realized it had curled toes, which made it unable to walk. I made it little splints and hoped she would heal. I did not want to put her in with the other hatched chicks as she might get picked on and trampled. For now I have been keeping her in the cleaned incubator with food and water, as all my other safe heat sources are being used by older chicks. I was wondering if anyone had some ideas of what to do as I know keeping her in the incubator for too long is not good... thank you!
