We have two roosters our my flock right now. Both were mistakes

. We have ordered 10 bev davis bcm and we will be keeping the best rooster from them. The other rooster I'm leaning towards rehoming is a RIR at this time as I feel the bcm will be better for the kind of colored eggs I want to breed for. That is of course if this easter egger might be a good breeder to keep around. We only have room for 2 rooster hence the rehoming one
Our rooster we are trying to find out his breeds is a easter egger. He is growing out nicely and is colored different that any other birds we have
So with little delay here he is........................

I
I love the green in his tail.

So I do have two more birds one easter egger ad on olive egger that I'm trying to figure out the breeds used to make them.

EE.............

and the olive egger

another from 4-6 weeks ago..............

Thanks

I'm not sure what you're asking. Yes the first is an EE cockerel and the last 2 are pullets.

Yes the first is a easter egger rooster . Any idea what 2 breeds are in him?

The 2nd easter egg hens . Any idea what 2 breeds are in it?

The last ones partridge olive egger. Are there 2 breeds in it? Or just the crested cream legbar?

Thank Scott

Hatchery sourced Easter Eggers, which yours appear to be, aren't really mixed breeds. Hatcheries have been breeding them since the early 1900s, and the birds haven't really changed that much over all those years. They just haven't been bred to meet any particular standard.
And your Legbar does not appear to be mixed at all.

So No clue what to expect if I breed the EE rooster to another EE or Americana?

Also should I not expect a olive egg from the legbar? Cause man they were not cheap sold as partridge olive eggers.

Thanks

Might not be able to predict exactly what you would get, but you can get a pretty good idea of what you MIGHT get. Your rooster is silver base color, carrying a gene for red/gold base color also. He also has at least on gene for the columbian restrictor. About 50% of his chicks will be red, and 50% will be silver if bred to the pictured Easter Egger hens. You can also expect that 50% will inherit the restrictor gene that limits black to the neck, wings, and tail.
Cream Legbars are actually worth more that a designer mixed breed like 'Olive Eggers'. Most Legbar lines lay shades of green.

Thank you so much for that detailed info. What would I expect in coloring breed to a blue Ameraucana ?
We also have a almost pure white EE and one I call Hawkie cause its copper necked and really good penciling of the feathers.simular to the ones pictured above but better coloring.
