Please help.

Ok so I have incubates a duck egg and last night he began hatching but it wasn't til about half past 8 this morning gb time. That he broke through the shell there is a hole a bit bigger than a 10p piece probably closer to 50p to be fair my little duck has been chirping all day but now he is not making any noise he is still moving and breathing but making no sounds it is now midnight and I am panicking is he ok what do I do any feedback is fully appreciated. X

Breaking out of it's shell is a lot of work for any newborn. A lot of chicks do need to take breaks between making progress on it's shell. I would say wait, and even if you would need to worry there wouldn't be much you could do.

How's the duckling? Did he/she ever break out of it's shell?

No he passed away the next day I was heartbroken but by the looks he just wasn't ready x
