Please help!!!!

I need a good article to send to one of my friends. The city he lives in is just about to make it so no one can have animals in town. Like chickens. He is wanting to get some chicks from me but now does not know if he should. The council is meeting in a couple of weeks and he needs something to take with him that would support having your own chickens. I have looked but can not find anything like this. If he could just get buy with just having hens he would be happy. I was wondering if anyone has heard of getting Grandfathered in. Like if you already had chickens could you go ahead and keep them. Any help would be great!!!!!!

Did you look at the Index here on BYC? There's a whole section on getting ordinances changed to allow chickens. That should provide you all the info you need.

There was a really good letter a few months ago on this post called "An Open Letter to Mark Taylor". It was written by a woman in Canada. You might want to look it up and read it. It might give you some ideas for things to include in a letter.
