sick chicken (4 months) was fine yesterday. It was our first cold night in GA last night. My chicken can’t stand, won’t open eyes unless I pick him up. Can’t keep water down, stays in for a few minutes then comes out. Checked crop( nothing in it). Only 1 vet in my area that handles chickens and is on vacation until next week

Keep the bird warm, electrolytes/vitamins in the water. Good luck. Possibly another member will be more helpful.

Is their coop drafty? You say it's a he, so you won't have to worry about egg problems. Does he feel cold, skinny? Will he eat at all? Does he try to drink water or did you syringe it down his throat?

He isn’t skinny but he is cold. I have him inside laying in our bathtub. His face has turned really ready and his neck now rolls. I have been feeding him water from a syringe. This came out of nowhere. I don’t think he will make it through the night but I am praying

I'm sorry to hear this. His face is turning red? Does he appear to show any other symptoms? I am praying for you and him both:fl:hugs

You need some electrolytes, Pedialyte, Gatorade, or Poultry NutriDrench. Homemade electrolytes will do in a pinch. Recipe here:

What is your set up like for your chickens? Has the cockerel had any respiratory symptoms as your chicken with the eye infection, or has he had any runny poops? Was he vaccinated for Mareks disease?

They have a inside coop that is a 7x7 with two outside run areas on each side. Poop looked normal, no eye infection. And no signs of the same symptom.

Could he have gotten into a poison (rat poison, insecticide, weed killer, automotive spill) or a poisonous plant? If he does not make it, I would keep his body cool in a plastic bag, and contact the state vet for a necropsy. Each state sets different prices, but call and ask. Here is a list of all state vets:
