My sweet Rosie has been acting funny all day and staying to herself I noticed egg yolk looking goop hanging from her rear and then a few minutes later I find her standing paralyzed like over an egg that’s really transparent looking and then my other Chicken came over and pecked the egg and it looks like this. Is she gonna be ok?

If your new it might be good to look at a healthy chicken then hers. I always get a partner to help. Tilt the chicken till her tail feathers open up and look through the fluff to find it. It's normally near the middle. Look for lots of poo stuck in on or around, look for extra redness, or even an egg or it bubbling out. basically anything not like a normal chickens.

Ok I checked her out and everything looks good and she’s back active. Ty soo much 🙂

Soft shell eggs are hard to move down the pike, no hard surface for the contractions to work against, so they can act very strange when trying to lay one.

Just keep an eye on her.

How old is she?
