I have a rooster I'm not sure what kind he is I got him from my father. he was just fine until maybe two days ago when he started hiding under the house and not wanting to move he just lays down and doesn't really drink or eat much any advice or ideas would really help I don't want to lose him hes my Rooster Cogburn

More info please. do you have hens. other roosters. Birds are flock animals. They do do like to be alone. Is someome picking on him while your away. What kind of coop barn situation do you have?
