My Buff that just recovered from an eye injury a few days ago now has blood in her feces. Her eye is completely better (she just got dust in it and scratched at it causing inflammation, we cleaned the site and treated with optical vetericin and it got completely better.) We thought she was broody right around the time that the eye injury occurred. She displayed all classic signs of wanting to stay in the nest getting upset when we took the eggs in the nest away (even though they weren't her eggs), stopped laying etc. Then after her eye was healed and we let her rejoin the flock and the broodiness seemed to stop and she went back to spending her time outside with the flock and behaving normally. But now today we found the bloody droppings. She has been eating alot of earthworms recently now that she is back outside and the blood in the droppings looks chunky, could it be the earthworms? She is behaving normally for a few days but still hasn't laid any eggs, could she be egg bound?
