I just found my female duck dead this afternoon.. My runner drake was putting his head under her trying to get her up and laying with her. They have been hatch mates and eventually breeding mates... She was suppose to hatch out next spring and be a new mother. My drake was extremely close to her and is extremely anxious without her, calling around the pen and looking for her. I live in winder, ga about 30 minutes from Athens. Is there anyone who has a female duck, breed does not matter. He just looks so pitiful

Here are links to some other duck forums, maybe you can post something in your area.
I am so sorry for your loss. I hope you find a new friend to help heal the hole in your heart and your poor drakes too.

Sad for your loss. Oh, so sad.

Carolina Waterfowl may be worth contacting.

Have you checked out the rehoming forum here on BYC? It's mostly chickens, but there may be ducks there.

And we do have some duck forum members in Georgia
