My broody hen has gotten up off her chicks that are hatching right now and it seems that some of them are getting vacuum packed inside. I say this because the membrane is around the chick and I could crack the egg off with out the membrane being touched. I don't want to touch her chicks though because she might come back. Should I just moisten the eggs that have piped or started to hatch?? I see beaks already but I think some are stuck. Water on membrane maybe??

You posted five hours ago. Do you still need help? I hope your broody went back to her nest and everything has worked out. If the hen has gone back to brooding I would do nothing and let nature take its course. Good luck.

Yea she went back but i think I am going to loose one of them because it looks like the yolk part came off of the chick. Think it was too dry... She does have three successes though. 7 eggs four have hatched all the way with one of them being the one with the yolk issue.

I'm glad that you didn't loose all the chicks. Usually humidity and dryness are not a problem when hens brood the eggs. What kind of chicken are they?
