Please help

One of my girls I think is sick, she is a rhode island red her name is whitie and I just adore her, a few weeks ago I noticed she was acting weird ie isolating herself from the other girls (3) and not eating I checked the hen house after she came of and there was a yolk and clear stuff but no egg shell when I founf her she had a string of tanish stringish stuff coming from her vent I gave the whole folk vit's and antibiotics my husband got from the feed store and she bounce back but the back of her end was a mess . she became her usual self well today I found her again the same way but shes not eating drinking and shes sitting behind a tree and I don't know how to help her even after reading " raising chickens for dummies" please if some one could reach out to me I just don't want to lose her as she's not just a egg factory but she's part of the family thank you so much, Whities Mom

How old is she? Is she just coming into lay, and these are her first attempts? I am thinking she may have broken eggshell inside her-if so this is a serious condition. You may want to post at once in full detail at "emergencies, diseases, injuries, cures," thread. Post under title of " HELP, Think Broken eggshell stayed inside." Do you have a vet you could consult with?
